This is Page 2 of 2, Continued from "Benny Hinn" Page 1. Click Here to Return to Page 1I later questioned (inquired of) the Lord about the book, -as to whether or not I should read it, whether it was good or bad, and what if anything in that book did I need to know about it, etc. In response to my inquiry, the Lord directed me not to read that book. When I asked the Lord what the book was about, I was informed that the theme of the book centered around learning how to develop our relationship with the Holy Spirit. When I asked the Lord what was wrong with that, He said, John 15:26,27a But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, HE SHALL TESTIFY OF ME: And ye also shall bear witness... I was immediately reminded that the Holy Spirit bears witness of and testifies OF JESUS and NOT of Himself. I was informed that according to Benny Hinn and his teachings in that particular book, the "Holy Spirit" is testifying not of Jesus but OF HIMSELF and this is something the Holy Spirit WILL NOT DO! When Jesus Himself spoke of the Holy Spirit, He said that the Holy Spirit will "take OF MINE" and will "show it unto you" ...scripture makes it very clear that the Holy Spirit when He is come will convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment...Jesus Himself said, the Holy Spirit will testify of JESUS and NOT of Himself.
Benny Hinn is teaching a blatantly false (thoroughly perverted) gospel: he is teaching a blend of the Christedness of man, the developement of the so-called divine qualities of man and the empowerment of man to be like the Most High God, so that man can be all that he can be --which is the humanism and the humanist manifesto repackaged in Christian terminology for the consumpution of the Churches in the last days. Benny Hinn falls into the category of those whom Jesus said will rise up among you --deceived and deceiving many.
Paul warned that in the last days that the churches would be beguiled "as Eve was beguiled" --with subtle twisting of the truth to teach men how to be wise and to convince men that man can be God-like: there is no difference between the empowerment of man to be all that Jesus was OR to be LIKE Jesus Christ -who is God, or saying, ye shall be as god, or saying, I will be like the Most High God! The polluted Humsistic false gospel that Benny Hinn (and so many others are teaching) IS the last days false gospel that uses the word of God and that uses spiritual (even mystical things) to promote the empowerment of man, to tap into his newfound divine potential, it is the false gospel of the developing of our supposedly god given divine/godlike potential, it is the false gospel of self realization of who and all that "MAN IS" since Jesus has come! The teachings of Benny Hinn (and many others like him) are in fact part and parcel of the last days false gospel. The teachings that are supposedly from the Holy Spirit about the Holy Spirit are false in their application, the understanding that Benny Hinn gives and the application of the teachings and his misuse of the written word of God to promote those teachings are of the wrong spirit, at the very least the spirit of error. Since the Holy Spirit lifts up and glorifies JESUS alone and NOT Himself, these false teachings grieve the Holy Spirit.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:11-17 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: For He shall NOT SPEAK OF HIMSELF; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come. HE SHALL GLORIFY ME: for He shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.
All of the gifts of the Spirit are in the Giver and the Giver is in us, if we have received the Lord. None of the gifts operate at our will but only "as the Spirit" of God wills. The gifts and operations of the Spirit are by God through Christ, who lives and dwells in us, --even though we have received the Lord, the gifts of His Spirit do not operate "by us", not even because we have His Spirit, His gifts are of and by His Spirit and operate only by Him (for us) as HE wills, i.e., by God through Christ Jesus, by His Spirit, as He wills!
John 16:7,8 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if i go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment;...
Follow up note: between the time this article was first written and now (April 2002) Benny Hinn has more than once related to his viewing audience a vision he received (which he believed was given to him by the Lord). In his account of this vision, Benny Hinn said that the Lord showed him a vision of a burning man, a man engulfed in flames, wreathing and gnashing his teeth in torment. Benny Hinn said this burning man appeared right in front of him, so close to him that he jumped back and screamed. As he relates his account of this incident, Benny Hinn always says the same things: he believes it is from the Lord, he believes it was a warning to him from the Lord. Benny Hinn said the Lord showed this burning man to him and then spoke to Benny three times saying, "Preach the Gospel". Benny Hinn said he firmly believes that the vision was a warning to him if he did not preach the gospel. The last thing in Benny Hinn's mind is that it was a warning to him because he IS preaching "another Jesus and another gospel" and IS NOT preaching THE Gospel. (see 2Cor.11:3,4 Gal.1:6-9)
Just last month the Lord reminded me about this original article and let me know that more people were (finally) beginning to question Benny Hinn, his anointing and his teachings and that I should now retrieve this article (above) and post it online.
When the Lord began instructing me to post the "Benny Hinn" article online, He also reminded me of an article that He had led me to recently which is posted online (on someone else's Christian webpage.)
At first I did not see any connection between the article called, "The Burning Man" and Benny Hinn's teachings, until the Lord made the connection for me and reminded me of the warning/vision of a burning man which Benny Hinn had received. Mysticism, humanism, paganism, a false gospel, another Jesus, and witchcraft in the churches are all connected in ways which, for the most part, we have very little understanding. The article, The Burning Man, which the Lord showed me is about the rise of paganism, mysticism, spiritism, false gods and the like and it is connected in more ways than one to this expose on Benny Hinn. I have not yet been able to locate any link to provide Benny Hinn's own account of his vision of the burning man being tormented and consumed by flames. If a link becomes available, I will post it here.
A direct link to access the article (called, The Burning Man) about the rise of paganism, mysticism, and other things associated with false religion is provided below.
After you have finished this article on Benny Hinn, considering also Benny Hinn's description of his own vision of the "burning man" (in which Benny Hinn has repeatedly said that he believes the Lord gave his vision of a "burning man" as a warning) then please read, "The Burning Man" about the rise of pagan practices, mysticism, and spiritism in the world AND in the churches.
Please know that I do not lightly say any of the things written here. If it were not for the fact that it has pleased the Lord to call my attention to these things (in the way and as often as He has over these past several years) I wouldn't have even considered raising the issues mentioned here and I certainly would never have presumed to write such an article. I respectfully entreat you to prayerfully consider and inquire of the Lord regarding all of the above.
